Your wedding photography and film questions, answered.

Choosing a team should feel clear, not complicated. Here are the details couples most often ask us about, from the first conversation to the finished photographs and films.

YOUR COLLECTION

A collection that feels like you.

Start with the photographs and films you want to keep. Then consider the coverage, the date and the simple steps that make it yours.

Can we book photography or videography on its own?

Yes. You can book photography, videography or a combined photo-and-film collection. Working together lets the two teams share a plan, but a combined booking is not compulsory. We recommend the number of photographers and filmmakers around your guest count, locations, timeline and priorities. Tell us about the day and we will explain the options and prepare a proposal.

Can you create a custom collection?

Yes. Start with photography, video or combined coverage, then adjust the hours, number of creatives, engagement session, additional events, albums and other options. A consultation helps us understand the priorities before recommending a collection. The intention is to fit the coverage to your plans, not make your wedding fit a rigid package.

Can we book fewer hours than a standard collection?

Yes. Coverage can be adjusted to a shorter schedule, an intimate celebration or a specific part of the day. We can add or remove services and create a proposal around the actual priorities. The resulting deliverables and coverage hours should be clear in that proposal; a shorter booking is not automatically the same collection with every full-day output guaranteed.

When should we book?

Many couples book nine to eighteen months in advance, and popular dates can be reserved more than a year ahead. Contact us once you have a date and venue, or when your plans are becoming clear. Shorter planning schedules are welcome too: we will check the actual availability rather than assume that a nearer date is impossible. Your booking process and next steps are explained in the proposal.

How do booking and payment work?

Our booking terms require a 25% non-refundable retainer to reserve the date, with the remaining balance due one week before the wedding. Debit or credit card and bank transfer are accepted through the actual payment arrangements provided by the company. Available payment-plan options are separate and subject to their provider terms. The signed proposal and service agreement record the terms that apply to your booking.

THE WEDDING DAY

Room for every part of the day.

The preparations, the ceremony, the people you love. A thoughtful plan gives each part of the celebration the attention it deserves.

How long will you be with us on the wedding day?

Coverage follows the collection and schedule you choose. Many couples book eight to ten hours, allowing time for preparations, the ceremony, portraits and the main reception events. We can arrange a shorter day, additional hours or a full-day option. During the consultation we work through the actual schedule so the coverage includes what matters without assuming that every wedding needs the same number of hours.

How many hours of coverage would you recommend?

Eight to ten hours is common, but the right answer depends on your schedule. Our approach often begins about an hour and a half before the bride gets dressed and continues through the last important planned reception event. Travel between locations, family portraits and the ceremony can change what is practical. We review the timeline with you rather than simply sell the longest possible day.

How many photographers and filmmakers will attend?

The team is built around the wedding. An intimate celebration in one location may need one photographer or one filmmaker. A larger wedding, simultaneous preparations or several locations may benefit from a lead and second photographer, or a lead filmmaker with another shooter and drone coverage. More coverage should make the day feel better supported, not crowded. We review the schedule, guest count and priorities before recommending the team.

Can we add a second photographer or videographer?

Yes. A second or additional creative may be useful for larger guest lists, simultaneous preparations or several locations. For a simpler celebration, a smaller team may be enough. We will talk through the practical benefit for your schedule before adding people to the coverage. The team size is set out in the proposal.

What happens if equipment fails or somebody has an emergency?

The team uses backup cameras, lenses, audio equipment and memory cards. We also have a professional network and team arrangements for an unexpected emergency. Coverage is planned as a production with redundancy rather than relying on one piece of equipment or one person without support. Discuss any special venue or schedule constraints so they can be included in that planning.

Do you have experience with cultural and multi-day weddings?

Yes. Our creative team has covered South Asian, Jewish, Asian and multicultural weddings. We take time to understand the traditions, important participants and timing so the coverage respects what the events mean to your families. Explain the full programme, including celebrations on other days, so the crew and coverage can be planned appropriately.

Will you include our family and friends in the film?

Yes. The wedding is not only the couple’s portraits. We film family, friends, reactions, the gathering and reception moments. A short trailer may focus more closely on the two of you; longer films give more space to guests and events. Tell us about the people and family moments that are particularly important so they remain part of the coverage plan.

LUMIÈRE D’AMOUR FILMSIn front of the lensPHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

IN FRONT OF THE LENS

At ease, in front of the lens.

You bring yourselves. We bring a practiced eye, gentle direction when it helps and the space for real moments to unfold.

What is your approach to a wedding?

We combine editorial guidance with documentary attention. We give useful direction for portraits and important planned moments, then work discreetly as the day unfolds. Real emotion, atmosphere and family traditions are as important as an elegant composition. We work with couples of different backgrounds and cultures, and plan around the meaning of the celebration rather than impose the same performance on every wedding.

How would you describe your visual style?

Fine-art composition meets editorial documentary. We use natural light, refined colour and real emotion to create photographs and films with a romantic, considered feel. Portraits receive direction where it helps, while the unscripted moments remain unscripted. We aim for work that will age well rather than depend on the editing trend of one season.

What if we are camera-shy?

You do not need to know how to pose. We give simple, gentle direction, find flattering light and allow time for you to settle into the moment. A walk together or an ordinary interaction is often a better starting point than a complicated pose. We also know when to step back. An engagement session can help you get comfortable with the team before the wedding.

Can we share inspiration and must-have photographs?

Yes. Share mood boards, examples and the people or moments you especially want included. This helps us understand your taste and priorities. We use that input alongside the team’s fine-art and editorial approach, with room for the actual light, schedule and spontaneous moments of the day. An inspiration board is a guide, not a requirement to reproduce another wedding shot for shot.

Will two filmmakers feel intrusive?

The team works discreetly, with coordinated positions and appropriate lenses so moments can unfold without a crowd of cameras close to you. Planned portraits or technical moments may need brief direction; much of the rest of the day is observed quietly. The aim is to capture the celebration, not make you feel that you have to perform on a film set.

Who is your work best suited to?

We enjoy working with couples who value both aesthetics and emotion: people who want a considered visual collection without losing the feeling of being with their family and friends. We welcome different backgrounds, cultures and traditions. The common ground is an interest in the people, the atmosphere and photographs and films you will genuinely want to return to.

What experience does your team bring?

The shared team has years of wedding photography and filmmaking experience and has documented hundreds of celebrations in the United States and abroad. The work includes intimate weddings, large family gatherings, different traditions and multi-day events. That experience informs the planning, lighting, sound, coverage and ability to work calmly when a schedule changes.

LUMIÈRE D’AMOUR FILMSBefore & beyondPHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

BEFORE & BEYOND

Before the vows. Beyond the venue.

An engagement session can be a quieter chapter of your story. A destination celebration may take it somewhere entirely new.

How long does an engagement session take?

Most sessions take one to two hours, with time for one or two locations, photographs and cinematic video. We can also record a short conversation, your story or personal words for use in the film. A larger idea with several locations, looks or a full-day experience can be planned as a custom session. The point is to make the experience relaxed and personal rather than race through a fixed shot list.

Do engagement sessions include photographs as well as film?

Yes. We can create photographs during an engagement session as well as a film. The images can be used for your wedding website, invitations or save-the-dates, and the session is a chance to become comfortable with the team. Explain how you hope to use the work so the session can be planned around that purpose.

Do you cover all of Florida, and can you travel?

Lumière d’Amour Films serves weddings throughout Florida. Our shared creative company also has experience with celebrations across the United States and internationally. Tell us your location and dates so we can explain the coverage and travel arrangements.

Can you cover a destination wedding abroad?

Yes. International destination coverage is part of the shared team’s work. Travel is usually arranged through round-trip flights and accommodation or an agreed all-inclusive destination proposal. Provide the country, venue, dates and additional events so the travel and coverage can be planned clearly.

LUMIÈRE D’AMOUR FILMSThe filmPHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

THE FILM

A film with its own feeling.

The voices, the music, the light and the details that belong to you. Here is how we bring them together and look after the moments you want to keep private.

How do you choose the film music?

We select licensed music to suit the pace, mood and story of the wedding. Your preferences are welcome: tell us about artists, genres or songs that matter to you. A specific commercial song can only be used when the required licence is available. The edit brings together your voices, the atmosphere and music that supports the day instead of overpowering it.

Can we request changes to the finished film?

Yes. Our service includes one round of revisions at no additional charge. Send a clear list of the changes you would like, such as shot choices, small trims or music timing. We want the finished film to feel right for you. A substantially different project or additional editing scope should be discussed separately rather than assumed to be part of a small refinement.

What equipment do you use?

Our creative team works with professional cinema and photography equipment, including RED and Sony FX-series cinema cameras, 4K capture, stabilisation and dedicated audio equipment. Suitable cameras support slow motion and strong low-light work. We bring lighting when needed and use DJI aerial equipment where operation is permitted. Analogue film options include medium-format and 35mm photography. The exact working kit follows the coverage, but good light, sound, preparation and camera craft matter more than a list of model names.

How do you record vows and speeches?

We use several sound sources rather than rely only on the camera microphone. These can include discreet microphones on the groom or officiant, a feed from the ceremony or reception sound system, and backup recorders. We coordinate with the venue, DJ or band when appropriate. Clear, intimate speech is a central part of the film, not an afterthought to the pictures.

Will you use bright lights during the reception?

We preserve the atmosphere you have created and use natural or existing light where it works. In darker conditions, subtle off-camera lighting may help record speeches, portraits or reception events clearly. We avoid treating harsh on-camera light as the default look. Lighting is chosen to support the setting and the quality of the work.

Will our film include drone footage?

We use aerial footage where it is safe, lawful and permitted by the venue. It can give the film a sense of the setting and surroundings. Weather, airspace or venue restrictions can prevent a flight, so drone use cannot override those conditions. We discuss any known restrictions as part of the planning.

Can private vows or personal words stay out of the public trailer?

Yes. Tell us which moments or words should remain private. A public trailer can be edited differently from the longer film delivered to you, keeping personal vows, letters or family details out of the public version. Discuss publication preferences early, and use the additional confidentiality option when your requirements call for it.

Why did you choose wedding photography and filmmaking?

Our creative company’s story began with the founders’ own wedding and the challenge of finding a filmmaker who shared their vision. That experience led to bringing cinema techniques, including anamorphic work, into wedding storytelling. The work has grown around the same idea: combining the truth of a wedding day with images and films that feel personal, emotional and artistically considered.

LUMIÈRE D’AMOUR FILMSWhat you receivePHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

The photographs and films you keep.

From the finished edit to the gallery, the longer films and the printed album. The details that turn a wedding day into a collection you can return to.

What photographs and films will we receive?

A video collection includes four complementary films, usable raw footage and a personal online page for streaming, downloading and sharing. The package cards explain the teaser / trailer, highlight film, cinematic movie and documentary movie included in that collection. Photography includes professionally edited and colour-corrected images, retouching and an online gallery. Our photography collection guarantees 600+ edited photographs, with no artificial cap on the final edited collection; approximately 700–1,500 is a typical range, not a separate guarantee for every schedule. An album is included where the combined-booking offer applies, or can be arranged in your proposal. Standard delivery is within 60 days.

How are our photographs and films delivered?

You receive an online photo gallery for viewing, high-resolution downloads and sharing with family and friends. Films and video files are provided through an online viewing and download page. When an album is part of your collection, we design and deliver a printed book as well. Digital galleries and printed work give you different ways to enjoy the same complete story.

Will we receive raw footage?

Yes. Our video collection includes all usable raw footage from the wedding, organised alongside the edited films. The finished films are the crafted story; the raw material is a broader record of captured moments. The photography collection also includes raw photographs as described in its package. The delivery method and any technical requirements are explained with your collection.

When will the finished photos and films be ready?

Standard delivery is within 60 days. Our creative company also offers an express video-edit option of approximately nine days; arrange that option in the proposal rather than assume it applies to every booking. Photography and film still receive the editing, colour work and finishing appropriate to the collection. Confirm any special delivery deadline while planning the coverage.

Can we have prints or a wedding album?

Yes. Alongside your online gallery, our creative company offers fine-art prints and luxury wedding albums. Albums are designed as a considered sequence of the day rather than a random selection of photographs. The combined-booking album offer is described on the package page; additional print or album requests can be included in your proposal.

Is professional editing included?

Yes. Delivered photographs receive professional colour correction and retouching in the team’s style. Films receive story-led editing, colour grading and sound work. Raw files are additional source material, not a substitute for the finished collection. Your principal delivery is the polished photographs and films described in the package.

How do the different film formats compare?

A teaser / trailer offers a first glimpse to share. The highlight film brings together the atmosphere and most memorable moments in a compact story. The cinematic movie gives voices, relationships and the day’s story more room. The documentary movie keeps a more extended record of the ceremony, speeches and events. See the four Hailey & Ian examples on this page to compare their purposes; their running times describe that wedding’s films. The formats and lengths for your collection are confirmed in your proposal.

How long will our finished wedding films be?

Your collection brings together a teaser / trailer, highlight film, cinematic movie and documentary movie. Each has its own purpose and pace. The running times shown with the portfolio examples belong to those particular films. The lengths and deliverables for your own collection are confirmed in your proposal.
